Days 1, 2, and 3!

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I have had a busy and exciting first few days in Paris! We have had orientation activities for the first few days and have our day trip to Provins tomorrow! And I was a little confused as to the location at first but apparently there is a Provins, Province and Provence! We will get to meet all of the students staying over from session one tomorrow. Our session two group though is all girls, there are 10 of us from all across the country. Yesterday we went to our study center where I will be taking beginning french. The center is in the middle of the city, about a 15 minute walk from the Louvre.

Yesterday, after finishing our orientation sessions at the center, the group went to hang out near the canal for the afternoon.

We went shopping afterwards at the Gallerie Lafayette which is the most BEAUTIFUL mall I have ever seen, and it's six stories! This is the view of the center...

Today we went on a boat cruise on the Seine and to see the EIFFEL TOWER!

Emilea from Iowa

My roommate from Colorado, Rose!

The group getting ready to start the boat tour!

We took the metro back to the hotel and it took an hour and a half to get back. Note to self: never ride the metro during rush hour. There is no air conditioning in Paris either so you can just imagine....

To end, quite possibly my favorite picture so far...

Au revoir!

Packing up!

Bonjour mes amis!
Thanks for stopping by to look at my blog for my trip for Paris! I will be abroad for 3 weeks to take an intensive language course and get to know this city that I have always dreamt of. It will EASILY be the largest city I have ever visited and I'm looking forward to exploring the home of Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot and Marie Antoinette. I'm working on packing today because I fly out soon and it's proving to be a challenge in itself. How on earth does one prepare for 3 weeks in a new place and get it all into two bags?

Bella wants to go with me! Of course, I don't think live cargo will be allowed to be checked...

Loving my new London Fog luggage!!

I have been researching the dressing habits of the women in Paris and apparently they don't wear shorts....which are my bread and butter so this is going to be interesting!

I'm especially looking forward to my reading material for the flights and layovers.

In preparation, I have decided to include some of my favorite shots of Paris for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

à bientot!
