Provins and CHOCOLATE MUSEUM?!

Hello everyone!
I come to you from a much more mild Paris! The weather has finally cooled off and it feels about like fall would in South Carolina, which is good since there isn't any air conditioning to cool us off. This has been quite the busy weekend! Yesterday, we took our day trip for the course to the small medieval town of Provins, about an hour southeast of Paris.

We got to meet the session one students on the trip who are also staying for session two, they are all great! The whole session one group wasn't present for the trip but i'm told that there are multiple Kappas in the section of the group that was absent so I can't WAIT to meet them at the center soon!!! Provins is in the Champagne area of France and is famous for its roses. Here are a few pictures of the beautiful flowers we saw!

We got to tour the guard tower and also the tunnels under the city!!

We got back at around 5pm and then I got to go meet my good friend Erin and her friends on their last night in Paris! We spent the evening on the gardens at the Eiffel tower. So glad I got to see her!!!

Today we went to the CHOCOLATE MUSEUM! This may have just been the high point of my life since chocolate is a significant part of it. The CIEE Program assistant, Julie, had a connection with the museum so we got in for free(as opposed to the 9 euro entrance fee) and also got free hot chocolate!

This chocolate sipping cup was designed with hammercurl mustaches in mind! It had a little shield so that the mustaches won't get messed up! So funny!

Rose and I!

And finally, there has been an impromptu flea market near the center on the sidewalk all weekend so we had to check it out of course!

Rose trying on vintage hats!

Laurel checking out the jewelry!

Tomorrow we have our first day of french class! I'm taking beginner so hopefully my daily conversations improve fast! Can't wait to show you all more as it comes!!

Au Revoir!
